Hi everyone,

I've just got my first buy to let property and am really considering signing up to a guaranteed rent scheme I've seen advertised by a few estate agents.

I would appreciate if anyone had any advice on the matter, past experience etc, or even recommendations of a letting agents or estate agent they have used.

Thanks in advanced.

Sidney

Welcome to the forum and the industry.

I don't have experience of guaranteed schemes as I manage my own.
A little cynical perhaps but if the market is there I don't see need for guarantees, it just needs to be exploited.

If the market 'aint there then no one can pay the guarantee if they're not gonna get revenues to pay from.

I would read the terms carfully, but good luck.

Hi Cor,

Thanks for the speedy reply.

I guess your right especially for the smaller independent businesses, but I think for the bigger franchises it might be worth looking into. Also the fact of them advertising your property and finding a tenant which I would imagine can be a real nightmare sometimes.

I posted a the same query on another forum and someone suggested this letting agents Liverpool called Northwood.

I'm going to pop into their office and see what they're all about.

Thanks again Sid

Please let us know on progress.

To be honest if someone wants to take the chew out of this game and promise a return I know a portfolio they can demonstrate their superior skills with.
